Position Overview
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing campaigns that promote a company’s products or services. This role plays a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space, driving website traffic, and acquiring leads/customers. The Digital Marketing Specialist/Manager uses digital tools and platforms to execute and monitor campaigns, analyze performance data, and optimize strategies to meet marketing objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Strategy Development and Execution:
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies across various channels such as SEO, PPC, social media, email, content marketing, and more.
- Set up, manage, and optimize campaigns on platforms like, Facebook Ads, and other digital advertising networks.
- Identify target audiences and create digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.
2. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM):
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis to optimize website content and improve search engine rankings.
- Implement on-page and off-page SEO best practices to increase organic traffic.
- Manage SEM campaigns, monitor performance, and adjust strategies to maximize ROI.
3. Social Media Management:
- Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
- Create, curate, and manage content for social media channels, including posts, images, videos, and stories.
- Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
4. Content Marketing:
- Collaborate with content creators to produce high-quality content such as blogs, articles, infographics, and videos that align with the brand’s voice and objectives.
- Distribute content across various channels to drive traffic and engagement.
- Use content management systems (CMS) to manage and publish website content.
5. Email Marketing:
- Design and execute email marketing campaigns, including newsletters, promotional offers, and automated workflows.
- Segment email lists based on user behavior and demographics to deliver personalized content.
- Analyze email campaign performance and implement improvements to increase open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
6. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot) to track and report on key metrics such as traffic, conversions, and user behavior.
- Analyze data to measure the effectiveness of campaigns, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for optimization.
- Create detailed reports for management that highlight successes, challenges, and areas for improvement.
7. Paid Advertising:
- Manage and optimize paid advertising campaigns on search engines, social media, and display networks.
- Conduct A/B testing to determine the best performing ads, landing pages, and calls to action.
- Monitor budgets and spending to ensure cost-effective marketing.
8. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):
- Analyze user behavior and website performance to identify opportunities for improving conversion rates.
- Implement CRO strategies, such as landing page optimization, to enhance user experience and increase the likelihood of conversion.
9. Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with other members of the marketing team, including graphic designers, content writers, and product managers, to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
- Collaborate with external partners, such as digital agencies or freelancers, as needed to support marketing efforts.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong understanding of various digital marketing channels.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, SEO tools, and email marketing software.
- Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, PPC, and social media marketing.
- Excellent analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic web development is a plus.
